One day Joseph, Sarah, and Ann were in a time machine. Just before they took off Kenny got a laser and destroyed part of it.
“We got to stop in before we go back in time forever,” said Sarah.
Joseph desperately tried to fix it. It didn’t work.
“Hey,” exclaimed Joseph with hope. “Maybe if I hook these wires together it will land!”
He tried it. It worked! So they landed safely.
“Where are we?” asked Joseph.
“A pirates flag,” said Sarah. “We must be on a pirates ship.”
Ann started to crawl out around the ship.
“We have to get her,” said Joseph. “After all she is our sister.”
“You go this way, I’ll go that way,” said Sarah.
As Joseph went in a cabin.
“There you are, Ann,” Joseph exclaimed.
Just then a pirate walked in.
“A new cabin boy,” he said. “We’ve always needed a new one, since the last one died!”
Meanwhile Sarah looked and looked for Ann but couldn’t find her.
“Well, I might as well go back,” she said.
Just then a pirate walked in.
“A stole-a-way,” he said.
Sarah ran but she was caught. They took her to a cabin.
“Ann; Joseph,” said Sarah.
“Cabin boy,” said a pirate. “Take this trespasser to be executed.”
“No!” yelled Joseph.
“Then you’ll join her,” said a pirate.
Just then Joseph pushed him overboard and grabbed a sword. Another pirate went after Sarah and grabbed a sword. Another pirate grabbed a sword and went after Sarah, but Joseph quickly leaped to her aid.
“Run,” said Joseph. “go find Ann and fix the time machine. I’ll be all right.”
Meanwhile Ann was crawling along and a pirate saw her. The pirate grabbed her.
“Ann!” yelled Sarah as she ran over to her.
“Now I got both of you,” the pirate said.
Just then the sword was thrown and got stuck in the ship about 6 inches away from the pirate.
“And that was only a warning,” said a voice.
The pirate got scared and ran away. Then a voice started laughing and walked toward Sarah.
“Joseph,” exclaimed Sarah. “Come to the time machine.”
Just then a pirate came after them. Then one more came and soon they were surrounded.
“Look what you got us into!” yelled Sarah.
“I’ll try to get you out,” said Joseph he took his sword and created a small hole.
“Take Ann and RUN!” yelled Joseph.
Sarah safe at the time machine watched as Joseph was bunched up on. Joseph was in trouble. He saw a small gap and ran through it and hid in the cabin. As most pirates ran by except for 2 that were there.
“He’s not in here,” one said and started to leave.
Joseph looked to see if it was safe. Sarah held onto Ann. As one came charging at him from behind. Joseph saw him and quickly jumped out of the way. The pirate knew he had passed Joseph and turned around and slipped. Sarah ran up and took his sword. Then the other pirates realized where Joseph was and went there.
“Get her!” exclaimed one. But it was too late. Sarah had grabbed Ann and ran away.
“Letting a girl and a baby defeat you, I’ll have to turn you both off,” said a voice.
“They’re only robots made by Jack, Bill, and Kenny to change history,” he thought then he shouted. “Sarah! They’re only robots.”
Just then one came toward him aimed his sword at Joseph and barely missed him. Joseph grabbed the sword and fought with another pirate and some other pushed the one that failed to catch them into the sea.
Meanwhile Sarah held her breath as Ann crawled up to Joseph. One tried to stab Joseph in the back but tripped over Ann and fell into the sea. Finally he knocked the sword out of Joseph’s hand he swung quickly, but Joseph fell on the ground.
Meanwhile, or years later, Torry noticed that Joseph, Sarah, and Ann weren’t back so he took a time machine and looked for them.
Back in the 16th century the pirate told them to watch as he put the sword in Joseph’s chest. He aimed carefully reached his sword back and...just then Joseph quickly got away but he wasn’t quick enough and the sword grazed his shoulder. Then he went after Sarah. Joseph quickly took a gun and shot it. He fired again this time he cut a rope which moved a stray beam out of place. It hit the pirate in the head causing him to be knocked in the ocean. One picked up Ann.
“We’ll make her walk the plank,” he said.
“Don’t!” yelled Sarah.
The leader walked up to them and said, “One of you has to go if the baby doesn’t you do.”
Just then two pirates gave a bottle to Ann, and fruit juice and a sandwich for Joseph.
“Enjoy it,” one said. “It’s the last meal you get.”
After the meal the pirates picked up Joseph and walked up to the leader.
“We’ll take care of this one while they decide who’s next,” said the other.
“Well decide,” he said. “Or we’ll make both of you walk the plank at the same time.”
Meanwhile the pirates took a boat put Joseph in it and rowed for 2 hours out to sea.
“This is far enough. Should we throw him out now?” said one.
“Wait!” explained the other. “There’s a ship out there, out on the horizon. And I think it’s the ship we’ve been looking for. We’ll tell him that.”
Meanwhile Sarah after thinking for awhile went up to the pirate and said, “O.K. I’ll go next.”
“No, Sewah!” said Ann and started hitting the pirate.
One pirate ran to get Sarah but tripped over Ann and he and the leader fell into the ocean.
“Now I’m the leader,” said a pirate. “And I say kill them now!”
“Run,” said Sarah but Ann was caught.
“We’ll kill both of them at the same time,” said the leader. “Don’t let her get away.”
Meanwhile the pirates threw Joseph in the water. The cut on his arm kept him from swimming as the waves got bigger and bigger as a storm approached. Waves bigger than he was pounced over him. He tried to stay afloat but the waves overpowered him. He went under and up choking and gasping for breath. He saw the boat vanish over the horizon. The waves were pushing him to the other boat. He tried to swim to it but his arm started hurting too much. Finally he gave up and closed his eyes and he felt the water go over his head.
When he opened his eyes again he was on the other ship. He look at the flag and knew it belonged to France. So he got out the English-French voice translating machine.
“Who was the one who rescued me?” he asked into the machine.
“Joshua Trim,” one said.
“Of course,” thought Joseph. “That’s what they’re after. When the French explored the new land in 1552 when they left on July 2, 1553 they gave him what is now Jesterville. If they destroy the ship they would control Jesterville and there would be no Mr. Trim.”
Just then he saw the boat he thought that the wave turned their boat over. The storm was over so he waved good-bye and got in the boat. Soon he rowed out of sight.
Meanwhile Sarah hid in the lifeboat wondering how to save Ann. Then she saw Joseph with enough food for both of them. She helped Joseph climb up with the food. Soon they had a good meal.
“There she is!” one pirate yelled the he saw Joseph.
“But how?” he wondered.
Then Sarah pushed him in the water. Meanwhile a pirate came to the leader.
“What do you want?” he yelled.
“Joseph is still alive,” the pirate reported.
“Who’s Joseph?” asked the leader.
“The one we threw overboard,” he said.
“How do you know?” the leader asked.
“The girl said it,” the pirate replied. “How many people have you killed?”
“51,” the leader yelled.
“49,” yelled another walking up to him.
Then the leader knocked them both in the water.
“Now 51!” he said.
“Bring the baby here,” the leader said. “Goochie, goochie, goo.”
Ann bit the pirate’s finger and pushed the leader into the water.
“I say put Ann down,” said the leader.
“O.K.,” said the pirate. “Crew attack!”
All the crew went after the leader. Sparks flew everywhere.
“You’re right,” said Sarah. “They are robots.”
“Stay here,” said Joseph. “I’ll go get the time machine.”
“But it’s broken!” declared Sarah.
“The time life line isn’t,” stated Joseph.
“Nobody’s used it before!” yelled Sarah.
“It’s our only chance,” stated Joseph.
“O.K.” said Sarah. “But good luck.”
Joseph ran to the time machine. Then doubt struck his mind.
“What if I let go and fall forever,” he thought. “but I must, I have to.”
He turned on the time life line. Then started to climb it. He saw swirls of all kinds of colors. He felt himself loose his grip but he quickly tightened it.
Meanwhile Torry was in 1775 looking for them. Suddenly Joseph appeared.
“I feel dizzy,” he said.
Just tell me where, I mean where and when Sarah and Ann are.
“Of course!” smiled Joseph. “Just follow the time life line.”
Back in the 16th century Sarah and Ann hid and listened.
“We won!” the pirates yelled.
“Oh, no!” thought Sarah out loud.
“There they are,” said a voice. “Get them.”
Soon they were surrounded. Nobody said anything for a long time. Then Torry and Joseph appeared, Joseph fell down.
“We’ve got them all!” yelled the leader. “Look at the other ship! Load the cannon!”
The cannon was loaded.
“Fire!” said the leader.
At that time Torry took the whole ship back to the present. They saw the cannon ball fall into the water.
“Kill him!” the leader yelled.
The robots put Joseph, Sarah, and Ann down and went after Torry.
“Catch me if you can!” yelled Torry running and stepping over Ann.
All the pirates tripped over Ann.
“Run!” yelled Torry as they went back to Jesterville.
“What about the pirates?” asked Sarah.
“I put a time bomb in their ship,” replied Torry.
“I’m glad you made it,” exclaimed Mr. Trim. “Out of 100 robots 87 made it.”
“87 made it!” exclaimed Joseph. “An 87% chance. I could have been killed!”
Then he fainted as the others began to laugh.
“He is the first human to go through the 4th dimension without a time machine,” said Mr. Trim. “And he doesn’t believe it.”
They all began to laugh again. Joseph woke up and laughed with them.
Back in the 16th century a crewman told Mr. Trim that he thought he saw another ship.
