INDIFFERENT By ... Steve Lucky Time continues at the same pace Indifferent to the hopes and dreams of human beings. Whatever one does it will not change the course of time. All seconds are of equal length. Sixty seconds are in a minute, Sixty minutes are in an hour, Twenty four hours are in a day, And three hundred sixty five days are in a year. Leap year and leap second are occasionally added Because days and years have their own standards. Time itself does not depend on such things. It continues indifferent to what the Earth does. People are born and die, Kingdoms rise and fall, Entire species come into existence and then cease to be, But time does not change its rythm. It continues through success and failure alike And does not have to even acknowlege The existence of the human race. Time is indifferent. Copyright 2001, Steve Lucky
