ICE By ... Steve Lucky Leaving its surroundings in a blanket of white, Overnight ice changes the entire landscape. At first it can be a lovely sight Until from its grasp one tries to escape. Restrictions of movement in all directions Caused by the glistening patches of cold, Gives the world few alternate selections. The picture perfect world idea rapidly grows old. Everything appears to be standing still While ice engulfs whatever can be found. Ice conforms everything to its will Unless a heat source is around. Needed greatly to reduce the heat, Plenty of ice can make the world seem sweet. Copyright 2002, 2003, Steve Lucky
