TIDAL WAVE By ... Steve Lucky Without warning it came On an otherwise peaceful, sunny day. The villagers never saw it coming. None of them could access the weather predicting technology Used by more civilized nations. Even advanced notice that a tidal wave Spotted in the middle of the ocean Was rapidly approaching their location, Could have given the villagers time to evacuate. Instead a pair of children found themselves Far too close to the wall of water To avoid what was coming. Just seconds before the time of impact, Hopelessly the little girl saw the distant wave, Larger than any wave she had seen in her life. She screamed as if screaming Magically would remove the deadly object approaching them. Uselessly, the little boy grabbed her by the hand. Knowing it was already too late, they tried to run anyway. Before they knew what happened, Huge amounts of water covered them and their entire village. Not knowing what happened, the people in a nearby city Continued with their everyday lives.
