STANDING FIRM By ... Steve Lucky At first it seem easy, but it does not last. Standing firm becomes harder as the years take their toll. It is not something done for only a day. Endurance for a lifetime is the goal. Changes to the world must be maintained. Believing it can happen is not enough. Opposing forces will not disappear. Kindness it vital, yet one must remain tough. Growth often brings power but not an ending To the constant challenges one has to face. When a problem at last is successfully solved, More appear to take its place. Progress may be a life long journet, But they does not mean it is not worthwhile. Little successes can keep one going. Just a few kind words can bring a smile. Not all experience comes with age. Doing things that make people squirm While overwhelming opposition is intent on one's demise Shows one can win by standing firm. Copyright 2002, 2003, Steve Lucky
