HARD WORK By ... Steve Lucky Hardships of the world one has to endure If one wants to achieve results. Only through hard work can one be sure A plan will work despite its faults. No substitutes for hard work can be found. Tempting alternatives lead to ruin and dispair. Before one can gain any solid ground, For the situation one has to care. Effort to make a difference during a crisis Comes only from those willing to work. Some types of problems only entices Those who refuse to simply lurk. Gigantic stones has to be lifted While the pyramids were being built. Plans had to be made while the weight was shifted And part of the pyramid started to tilt. Mistakes can sometimes lead to disaster. Learning is done by those who work hard. Despite fewer mistakes, they can get things done faster. Hard workers should be given high regard. Into almost every life hard work comes At times when it is needed. Rare are those who constantly reach the sums Of their potential when no one has pleaded. Copyright 2003, Steve Lucky
