LAST By ... Steve Lucky The Bible states "the last shall be first", Not the first or the second Or the ninth or the one thousandth. Putting self after everyone without exception Is a still few people are willing to even attempt. Like most other things, it takes practice to succeed. Experts are rarely found overnight. Gradually one learns to sink Below the places one thought he or she could go. Carrying large burdens becomes easier As one gains strength from lifting the burdens of others. Only in the last position can one look up To see what everyone else is doing. God can be seen supporting all humanity. In areas of poverty, holy things are better seen. Food, water, and a chance to heal Come far more often from those who put themselves last. Those people really are the first others look at When they decide to start helping out themselves. Being first is a good way to be placed last, Just as the Bible says. Logic can fail, but good deeds From those willing to place themselves last Are remembered for a long time.
