RIPPLES By ... Steve Lucky When a pebble is dropped in a pond, Ripples extend to places beyond. Gradually fading, moving further from the source, These ripples usually maintain their course. Created by wind, moving objects, and the tide, Ripples form ripples as ripples collide. Following waves of the silent song, Leaves and debris sometimes travel along. As various types of ripples roam past, How long will these ripples last? Never breaking the rules of nature and math Hardly anyone can predict their path. Simple ripples are easy to see. More complex ones are a mystery. As individuals create ripples in society. How strong will these ripples be? Following patterns, even under stress, Their complex behavior is still anyone's guess. When even the questions make the answers change, The end result must be very strange. Copyright 2008, Steve Lucky
